Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the KWC Tech website (kwctech.ca) or any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.

Our services

KWC Tech provides digital literacy education and technology coaching services to seniors and their families in the Waterloo Region. Our services include 1-on-1 coaching, group workshops, online courses, and scam detection assistance.

The AI scam checker tool

Our free AI scam checker is provided as a convenience tool to help users identify potentially fraudulent messages. Please note:

  • The tool uses artificial intelligence and may not be 100% accurate in all cases.
  • It should not be relied upon as the sole basis for financial or legal decisions.
  • If you have already shared personal or financial information with a suspected scammer, contact your bank and local police immediately.
  • KWC Tech is not liable for outcomes resulting from reliance on the scam checker tool.

Bookings and payments

  • Sessions must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance for a full refund.
  • Same-day cancellations may be charged the full session fee.
  • Payment is required to confirm paid sessions. Accepted methods: credit/debit card, Interac e-transfer.
  • Online course purchases are non-refundable once course materials have been accessed.

Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, guides, logos, and course materials — is the property of KWC Tech and is protected by Canadian copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without written permission.

Limitation of liability

KWC Tech provides educational services and general technology guidance. We are not responsible for any decisions made based on information provided during sessions or through our website tools. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein.
